ReelArt Studios projects are inspired by so much… from classic illustration, classic and not so classic genre films, golden and silver age comics, serialized newspaper comic strips, pulp writing and folklore to ancient history. Sometimes we combine several of these to come up with our own ideas…
Our newest project to be sculpted by Jason "Spida" Adams was born from the 10th century writings chronicled as One Thousand and One Nights or simply called The Arabian Tales. To that we mixed a blend of master animator Ray Harryhausen and a dash of the 1947 film Sinbad the Sailor starring Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. We call it Sinbad the Sailor, One Of 1000 Nights.
We hope these pics show you the thought process that goes into our vision for a three dimensional work of art. Oh yeah, Neal Adams will be providing the box art illustration for this piece and several others that will follow. I hope you like our vision of Sinbad the Sailor and will let us know your thoughts.
