Statue Forum!

We have a new home on Statue Forum with our own section. Click the image to go to our very active forum which we share with quality companies Hard Hero and Aspen. We'll be offering some contests through Statue Forum as well. We often show Work In Progress there not yet here on our site such as Troy McDevitt’s Frazetta’s Wolfman Vs. Dracula from the cover of Creepy #7

We encourage anyone interested in pop culture and in particular our unique hobby to give Statue Forum a look and to join. It is going to be a fun place to discuss existing and upcoming products and a great place to buy and sell. ReelArt Studios is honored to have a forum home there.

12/26/2008 New York Comic Con!
The New York Comic Con is growing by leaps and bounds and you need to get your share of the action! Don’t get lost in the shuffle. ReelArt Studios/Sequential Pulp Comics and Joy & Tom Studios will be sharing booth #828. Use the Digital Guest Pass at left to order advance tickets.
AC Comics
Based on our polls and the emails that have been sent to us, we'll probably be doing Miss Masque next. However, there's a chance that we may be able to get the rights to do another founding member of the Femforce, Señorita Rio. Joy and Tom Studios will handle the chores regardless of which one we do.

Sheena, Queen Of the Jungle!
We’ll have paints on Sheena soon.

ReelArt Studios to go Bronze!
BIG NEWS = ReelArt Studios is moving into bronzes in 2009. This is going to be true bronze. The first up will be our Tarzan and the Golden Lion. It will be strictly limited to 30 pieces worldwide. All our pieces will be by special order with deposit. Prices forthcoming shortly.

Next Up!
The next two pieces we have going into production will be Doc Savage and then Frank Frazetta's Sun Goddess.

Sequential Pulp Comics
We also wanted to let you know that our new division, Sequential Pulp Comics, is up and moving forward. We'll be using top name talents in the field of comics and will be adapting stories from the days of the pulps licensed directly from the authors or their estates. First up will be Otis Adelbert Kline's The Swords Of Venus, adapted by Bruce Jones and Eduardo Barreto, followed shortly by Frederic Brown's Martians Go Home, adapted by Mike Manly and Bret Blevins, using character designs by Mike Ploog. These will be six-issue adaptations of the stories on a regular publishing schedule. Long-time comics writer and editor Christopher Mills will serve as editor-in-chief for the Sequential Pulp Comics line. Visit our embryonic web site at http://www.sequentialpulpcomics.com and bookmark it for return visits. The first books are scheduled to hit the markets in the second quarter of 2009.

08/10/2008 Buck Rogers In the 25th Century
ReelArt Studios is proud to present Buck Rogers, the seminal space hero who ushered in the Space Race and the Cold War of the 1950s. This 1950's version of Buck is sculpted by Tony Cipriano and paint mastered by Joy & Tom Studios and depicts Buck in action with blazing guns and rising on a cloud of smoke from his jetpack. Minutely detailed, this stunning piece stands at 16" tall, 8" wide and 8" deep and comes packaged in a full-color box. It is limited to 500 units worldwide. $189.00. Expected On Sale Date: Dec 15.

07/01/2008 Two new statues now ready for preordering!
The long-awaited Girl Art statue based on AC Comics' Yankee Girl is currently overseas finishing being manufactured and will have an on sale date of August 2008. Produced by Joy and Tom Studios, this piece is certainly an eye opener. At 1/6 scale she's the same size as our previous AC Comics offering, The Blue Bulleteer; a hefty statue with the reasonably low price of $135. This piece looks to be another Babe & Ape which sold out completely before ever the statues reached the US from where they were manufactured overseas. There are only somewhere around fifty or so pieces left of Yankee Girl and if you want one, you'd better act right now.

Also available for preordering at this time is our piece based on King Features' Prince Valiant. ReelArt Studios continues its line of comic book and newspaper strip characters with another classic character. Hal Foster's timeless hero from the days of King Arthur as sculpted by Joy and Tom Studios depicts Val in full battle gear charging atop his mighty steed through a marshy glade and seems to have been lifted straight from those early Sunday funnies. The prepainted statue is packaged in a full color box with a Certificate Of Authenticity.

Format: 11 3/4" tall x 15" deep x 10 3/4" wide; limited to 500 units
Price: $225.00

Short Bits!
Frank Frazetta's Egyptian Queen has shipped from China and is enroute to the US

Next up for Frazetta is Sun Goddess, as sculpted by Tony Cipriano with paints by Kat Sapene.

Also overseas in production is Buck Rogers which is expected on the market in the October/November time frame.

We are currently working on Sheena, Queen Of the Jungle which will be the classic version inspired by Steranko with a few twists (hint … think Irish McCalla features).
