We were there seeking approval for the sculpting phases of The Eqyptian Queen and Snow Giants. All of us were in awe of our art hero and even though we felt our work was top notch, there was that feeling of anxiety in case he didn't like it
or us for that matter. The fear and trepidation should have been laid aside however upon our arrival and meeting Frank's wife, Ms. Ellie. What a bundle of joy, energy and graciousness she is. The museum and Frazetta home are wonderful testaments to her design and decorating skills.
After a thoroughly enjoyable tour of the museum (where I could spend many more hours given the time) it was time to meet Frank in the main house. The home is remarkable and contains so many unpublished and extraordinary art jewels that my senses were beginning to overload. Ms. Ellie assured us that some day they will see print. One can only hope.
The last stop was the home studio where Frank held court and there were callers. Ed Bowkley of Diceman Creations and Kevin Clement, producer of Chiller Theatre are close family friends and helped put us at ease. Frank is just as larger than life in person as one would think and he put our concerns to rest. No one could have been more open and kind in their assessment of work based on his property. We were relieved and thankful! All of us sat with shoes off and baseball on TV in the background and talked about sculpture, art, sports and a bit of everything else. I was at home in Frank's studio! Getting to remove Frank's artwork from the walls to examine it was a treasure I'll always remember. Late that afternoon one of Frank's daughters came by with the grandkids and we knew it was time to leave. Frank holds a special spot in his heart for kids
especially his grandchildren. We each left a gift to Mr. Frazetta and I gave another to Ms. Ellie.
We will be presenting the sculptures here in the near future and hope you will approve of our efforts.
Our thanks go out to you Frank Frazetta Jr. and to Mr. and Mrs. Frazetta. You made us feel a part of the family and we look forward to seeing you again! Stay well until then
